I worked as a waitress (2.000 guests at a reception) yesterday till almost midnight and having to go home by bike for one hour. And this morning I had to get up at 6 (getting just a few hours sleep) to be able to bring my stepdaughter to school. I almost couldn't stand up at first, then I couldn't really walk and then I couldn't really pick up or carry stuff because I'd carried so many plates and glasses, chairs and juice yesterday. And usually I would have been in a bad mood! I would have thought "it's unfair!". May Allah (swt) help us from pitying ourselves!!
Alhamdulillah. All night I tried to keep this hadith in mind: The Messenger of God (may peace be upon him) said: "Allah (swt) loves to see His servant exhausted after an honest day's work". And I loved my job and I loved to work hard for Allah (swt). And my sisters and brothers in Islam. Our deen is truly beautiful and Allah (swt) gives us so many possibilities to get the best out of life and to be grateful and humble! Subhan'Allah! If we keep Him in mind and we focus on serving Him and pleasing Him, it will give benefits - inside us and outside us and in the Hereafter, insha'Allah.
May Allah (swt) protect and have mercy on those who don't have the same goods as us and who are really exhausted from work every day!!
Thanks to you my dear readers and fellow blog-writers. You inspire me in my daily life and actually give me much joy and trust in the fact that there are other lovely muslims out there. Alhamdulillah!
