Casey Anthony Trial Live Stream - June 23, 2011

Casey Anthony's trial will be once again broadcast live via online streaming by WeshTV. Below will start sending live video feeds from the venue of Anthony's court trial at around 9:00 a.m. EDT (9 p.m., Philippine Time).

Casey Anthony Trial Live Streaming - June 23, 2011 | Live Stream courtesy of WESH

Casey Anthony was indicted for the murder of her 2 year-old daughter , Caylee Marie Anthony, in 2008. However, Casey claims that she did not harm her daughter and that she is not guilty of any of the charges filed against her.

Here's a Wikipedia entry of Casey Anthony's Case:
Disappearance

Caylee Anthony was reported missing to the Orange County Sheriff's Office (Orlando, Florida, United States) on July 15, 2008, by her grandmother, Cynthia (Cindy) Anthony. Caylee had lived in her grandparents' home with her mother, Casey Anthony, until June 15, 2008. According to George Anthony, Caylee's grandfather, Casey left the family's home on June 16, 2008, taking Caylee, who was almost 3, with her. Cindy asked repeatedly during the month to see Caylee but Casey stated she was too busy with a work assignment in Tampa. At other times, she said Caylee was with a nanny at theme parks or the beach.

Casey Anthony was first arrested on July 16, 2008, and was charged the following day with giving false statements, neglect of a child, and obstruction of a criminal investigation. The judge denied bail, saying Casey had shown "woeful disregard for the welfare of her child".

Investigation

When Detective Yuri Melich, with the Orange County Sheriff's Department, began investigating Casey Anthony, he found discrepancies in what she had told law enforcement in her signed statement. When questioned, Casey said her child was with a nanny. The nanny, however, was never seen by Casey's parents or her friends, boyfriends, family, or acquaintances.

On August 11, 12, and 13, 2008, tips of a suspicious object found in a forested area near the Anthony residence were called in to police by a utility worker. After another report on December 11, 2008, the remains were found in a plastic bag. On December 12, the remains were tentatively identified as Caylee's.

On August 21, 2008, Casey Anthony was released after one month of incarceration. She was released from the Orange County jail after her $500,200 bond was posted by California bail bondsman Leonard Padilla.

She was arrested again on August 29, 2008, on charges of forgery, fraudulent use of personal information, and petty theft for forging $700 worth of checks and using her friend's credit cards without permission. Leonard Padilla subsequently rescinded the $500,200 in bail due to a lack of cooperation from Casey Anthony.

On December 15, WFTV reported that more bones were found in the wooded area near where the skull was discovered. On December 19, 2008, medical examiner Jan Garavaglia confirmed that the remains found were those of Caylee Anthony. The death was ruled a homicide and cause of death was listed as undetermined

The announcement of the longtime deputy of Osama bin Laden as the new Al Qaeda leader was posted on a website known to be affiliated with the militant group.

Here are excerpts of said announcement courtesy of the Associated Press:
"Loyalty to the good martyrs and to the legacy of Sheik Osama bin Laden means continuing down the path of Jihad for God's sake and for the triumph of Muslims, the general command of al-Qaida and, after consultation, declares Abu Mohammed, Ayman al-Zawahri, God help him, is now the one leading the group."

"We seek the help of God to preach the true religion, to incite the nation to get ready and fight to fulfill the duty of fighting the infidels who aggress on the land of Islam, led by America and its spoiled child Israel, to fight them with all our might."
Egyptian-born physician and surgeon Ayman al-Zawahri is the founder of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad (EIJ), an organization that opposes the secular Egyptian Government and seeks its overthrow through violent means. In 1998, EIJ reportedly merged with Al Qaeda.

Al-Zawahri is believed to be the "operational brains" behind the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the U.S. The U.S. government is currently offering up to $25 million for information that would lead to al-Zawahri's apprehension.

Born on June 19, 1951, al-Zawahri grew up in an upper-class neighborhood in Cairo, Egypt. He is said to be the son of a prominent physician and grandson of renowned scholars.

Puyehue Volcano (south of Santiago, Chile) ash causes flights havoc

In Argentina and Uruguay, hundreds of flights have been canceled as winds blew clouds of ash from the volcano to the East. All flights from Buenos Aires, Argentina and most out of Montevideo, Uruguay were canceled on Thursday, according to an AFP report.

On Saturday, strong winds had carried the ash cloud far enough that Qantas and other airlines had been forced to cancel flights from Australia to New Zealand, as well as flights from the Australian mainland to Tasmania. On Sunday, Qantas and Virgin Australia had also cancelled flights to Melbourne.

The eruption prompted evacuations for 3,500 people and cancellation of flights as it sent a cloud of ash that reached the city of Bariloche, in Argentina, where the local airport was closed. There were no reports of injuries.

An alert had been declared by the National Emergencies' Office in nearby zones around the volcano after a flurry of earthquakes earlier on Saturday. Reports say that over a period of six hours, the number of temblors reached an average of 230 per hour - the largest occurred at 8:36 a.m. (local time) on June 4th with a magnitude 4.4.

Chile’s National Geology and Mining Service also reported a column of gas 10 kilometers high and five kilometers wide rose from Puyehue-Cordon Caulle complex, hours after warning of strong seismic activity in the area.

The last eruption of Puyehue volcano said to have occurred in 1960 following a massive 9.5 earthquake.

Area 51 photo showing workers attend to titanium A-12 spy-plane prototype before its Utah crash surfaces

An Area 51 photo showing workers attend to titanium A-12 spy-plane prototype before the futuristic-looking jet undergoes radar testing inside the clandestine military base has surfaced online. The never-before-seen photo, along with other declassified 1963 Ken Collins Utah A-12 plane crash pictures were posted on National Geographic, recently.

"Area 51 was created so that U.S. Cold Warriors with the highest security clearances could pursue cutting-edge aeronautical projects away from prying eyes," National Geographic said. "During the 1950s and '60s Area 51's top-secret OXCART program developed the A-12."

The A-12 aircraft said to be almost undetectable to radar. It is super fast at a speed of 2,200 miles an hour (3,540 kilometers an hour)— that's traveling the continental US in 1 hour and 10 minutes. It's camera could also capture 12-inch-long objects from 90,000 feet (27,400 meters).

Made by Lockheed Corporation, this U-2 spy plane successor was produced from 1962 through 1964, and was in operation from 1963 until 1968. The final A-12 mission was flown in May 1968, and the program and aircraft retired in June of that year due to budget constraints.

Logar family names adopted wild brown bear cub Medo (Photos)

The Logar family from Podvrh village in central Slovenia named the male brown bear cub they adopted Medo (Slovenian for "bear").

Medo wandered into the backyard of the Logar Family about four weeks ago. The fourteen-week old wild baby brown bear (Ursus arctos) is thought to have been abandoned by its mother.

The Logars who have bonded with Medo then adopted the animal.

Just recently, the Logar Family wanted to prepare a fenced enclosure where Medo could live. However, veterinary authorities urged them to place the cub into a shelter for wild animals, instead. Officials fear that the bear cub could go dangerous.

According to reports, there is an ongoing battle between the Logar Family and the Slovenian animal experts over Medo's custody.

Check out some pictures of Medo below courtesy of Reuters:

Gryfino, Poland's 'Crooked Forest' (Photos)

Gryfino, Poland - An unusual pine forest in Gryfino called "Crooked Forest" looks like it came right out of a Hans Christian Andersen story since around four hundred trees have been formed with a 90° horizontal bend in its trunk before rising vertically again.

The 80 year-old trees were believed to have been planted by the German Service Specials carpenters who used the curved wood for furniture making. However, lumberjacks of Gryfino forest disagreed and said that the forest is a freak of nature, as the trunks of trees are not suitable for furniture production.
