How to restore Facebook chat old version

Not liking the new Facebook chat set-up? Do you prefer the old version instead?

Well, I recently followed a tutorial on how to restore the old version of Facebook chat and it worked. And believe it or not, it's pretty much fast and simple. It literally took me seconds to do the whole process (using Chrome). All you need to do is to install a small add-on and/or script depending on your browser (i.e. Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.). Restart your browser and presto! - Facebook chat old version restored! Check out my Facebook homepage now:

2. Restart the browser and enjoy chatting.

For Mozilla Firefox

2. Install this script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/107159.user.js
3. Restart your browser. You can now enjoy the old Facebook chat version.

Here are some reviews from people who tried it:
Mike Dogwill: "worked perfectly, awesome! thankyou"

Melissa Burks: "yes it works but doesnt let you have your groups back!!!! so not the old chat!!! "

Nishaa Keshwara: "IT WORKS! I love da old chat!!! ♥ xxx :)"

Luke Schofield: "i'm on firefox... it took me a while, but i got there. thanks :D"

Mathew Navin: "Im on Firefox and it works :D Thanks x"
I don't have a Facebook group, so I don't really know about what Melissa said. Hmmmmm... I guess don't bother executing this trick if you belong to some groups. And I will still have to try it on Firefox still on another computer. :D

'[Video] OSLO Security Camera Captures Blast' is a Facebook scam

A Facebook scam has emerged following the bombing incident in Oslo, Norway.

"[Video] OSLO Security Camera Captures Blast" is a Facebook Scam

Through his blog, Chester Wisniewski, a Senior Security Advisor at Sophos Canada, said the scam started within hours after the bombing.

"Unfortunately within hours of the bombing Facebook scammers have latched on to the news and are trying to take advantage of the Facebook communities interest in learning the details of what happened," he said.

"The message spreading across thousands of people's walls on Facebook reads: "[URL] [Video] OSLO Security Camera Captures Blast! [Video] OSLO Security Camera Captures Blast!" Wisnieski wrote.

Wisniewski added that when the scam link is clicked the users will be redirected to an offsite page that looks like Facebook with a fake Youtube video player. He said, "a screen is grayed out until you agree to take survey to prove you are 18 years of age and click "Jaa".

"If someone is tempted to fill out the survey they are presented with an IQ test. Upon completion they are asked to enter their mobile phone number and will be charged two dollars per trivia question SMS'd to them four times per week."

"Keep your eye on the ball and expect these types of scams when tragedies are in the news," Wisniewski advised.

Facebook will end on March 15, 2011?!

A "news" website published yesterday, January 8, 2011, an article saying that the most popular social networking website in the world, Facebook is about to end its service this March 15th. According to the article, Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg announced its shut down on that day since it has gotten out of control.

Facebook has gotten out of control and the stress of managing this company has ruined my life. I need to put an end to all the madness.”

The article also quoted a said interview of Avrat Humarthi, Facebooks' Vice President of Technical Affairs:

“After March 15th the whole website shuts down. So if you ever want to see your pictures again, I recommend you take them off the internet. You won’t be able to get them back once Facebook goes out of business.”

It also added a said private telephone interview of Zuckerberg:

“I personally don’t think it’s a big deal. And to be honest, I think it’s for the better. Without Facebook, people will have to go outside and make real friends. That’s always a good thing.”

Hahaha! Who would believe that? And who would believe a site which broke the news that Megan Fox is a Man, that Spaceships are to attack Earth on 2011, and Miley Cyrus to do Playboy. Lol.

Yeah, the site is a hoax site. They create non-existing news. :D
